Training for Better Interaction Introduces an Integrated Approach to Fair Justice for Victims of Crime

On 13 and 14 July in Kalista Hotel Starozagorski Mineral Baths launched the first training for a better interaction on the topic "Integrated Approach to Fair Justice" under the project "Justice - Befriends  the Child - TRAINING OF PRACTITIONERS FOR BETTER COOPERATION" funded by the European Commission. This is part of the planned 28 regional trainings, where we expect to involve more than 1000 specialists from all over the country. The purpose of the training is to support Bulgaria's efforts to introduce minimum standards for vulnerable victims of crime in line with Directive 2012/29 / EU.

Particular emphasis is the introduction of standards for children as vulnerable victims of crime and the transformation of the practice of specialized rooms for hearing of children who are victims of "Blue Room" violence into national practice.

The training is aimed at developing a range of competences for all professionals working with children to introduce an individual assessment and an integrated approach. Our idea is to put all the resources around the child - universal, rehabilitation and social services. Our desire is to extend the scope to older victims of domestic violence, crime, disabled victims, etc., to be informed about the rights and to be granted access to protection and support.

The project is implemented under contract JUST / 2014 / JACC / AG / VICT / 7465 with the financial support of the "Rights, equality and citizenship" programe of EU.
