On 13.05.2011 after successful joint work between the Regional Foster Care Centre Sofia and the Social Support Directory in Mladost, Social Support Directory Botevgrad and St Anna Hospital in Sofia, as well as the professional foster family in Botevgrad a one-month old baby found a family.

This is the first foster family in the city and as a result of the good cooperation between all participants in the process one more child has a chance to be raised in a family environment. During the whole process the foster parent was supported by a social worker from the RFCC in Sofia. We hope and we will continue to work for successful foster care in Bulgaria and for he decreasing of the number of children in institutions.
